: heat core lines need moved for a turbo?
cub124 05-14-2010, 07:27 AM alright Im taking the morning off school and im going to replace my heater core lines, before i put new ones on should i re-rout them so they arnt in the way of the turbo/manifold on the 6.5 turbo set up ill be putting on.
I was thinking of routing them up over the overflow because from there they will be away from manifold heat and then theres a streight shot to the connections
whisky runner 05-14-2010, 08:27 AM sounds good to me...i like a little extra length for those times ya need to cut some off when cant get em off without cutting..be careful not to tug to hard on the core inlet..cut em off is best way i found to take them off....:)
cub124 05-14-2010, 08:31 AM haha yeah thanks, i figured that out one day i had them off then the next day there was coolant all over my passenger side floor. but it was alright it needed changed anyhow
Diaric 05-14-2010, 09:05 AM and on the otherhand, don't overtighten the hoses on the core. those hose barbs squish out real easy
4320Diesel 05-14-2010, 05:39 PM i didnt move the heater hoses, i left them in the stock location. worked out fine.
cub124 05-14-2010, 06:01 PM well brent your too late!!! lol i wrapped them up around the overflow tank. even if it doesnt help any i feel better that they are away from the manifold. i think it looks nicer also!

sls639 05-15-2010, 09:23 AM Brent, most of your post are about some redneak activity involving dirt, defenseless animals, John Deere tractors, or explosives. How many do you have that are related to the 6.2 engine?
cub124 05-15-2010, 09:29 AM is it redneak or redneck? haha sorry i couldn't help myself!!
sls639 05-15-2010, 09:31 AM Isn't that how rednecks say it?
