I want to do all my fluid changes, my question is will I be having issues with my warrenty because the truck is not going to the shop for service?

It shouldn't

Just log hours and mileage and save yur receipts just like if you had a garage of your choice perform the service.

No where it there anything in writing that will state that you MUST take your truck to the dealer for service. That is illegial! The dealer may want you there for service ( it is a low profit item) but while they have you in there they can sell you high profit stuff that you did not realize that you needed. Like engine flushes. I have changed my own oil for years and not had a problem with warrenty stuff. Now I ahve also not had any engine problems either because I use good synthetic oils.

I keep records, but I have never had a servicing dealer ask for them (larger diesel engines though). The only time they might ask for them is if the oil was filthy and crusty looking as if you hadn't changed it on time and it looked like that had contributed to the failure. So the idea is, don't neglect it in the first place.

do the upkeep yourself and save some money. the only benefit to the dealer doing it is that it will be logged with your VIN and can be checked from any dealer after that. Basically you are paying them to log it for you. If you keep good records yourself then you are good to go.

Also, if you scroll down to the Maintenance section you will find a routine schedule you can print out and fill out at will.
