Sorry for the double post, but I never got a definetive answer on the other forum.


Is the ACDelco TP1298 the correct fuel filter for an 03 Duramax. Someone gave me a brand new filter (footnote: it wasn't in a plastic bag, I couldn't feel any rust inside, but it did have some box fibers on it - just a few, but I'm paranoid). Is this the correct filter. The 89016324 number on the box looks like a GM part number, but it doesn't match the number in the manual. It looks like the right fitler. If so, should I clean it real well or do they all come exposed in a box.
