Hi all....Are the twin batteries on an 05 3500 dmax running in parallel and a 24volt system or in series and 12volts? If it's 12v, why the 2 batteries?
I want to wire the winch...does it matter which batttery I use if it's 12v? Is there a 12v tapping place that will handle about 400amps? Maybe help with what the second battery is for will answer that.

12v in parallel. Two batteries for more cranking power (available amps). The positive access point will be ok for powering your winch.

I tried connecting to the off battery power block with my winch both +ive and -ive, but found that the winch control solinoids would heat up. Connecting straight to the drivers side battery resolved the problem. I know warn recommends going directly to the battery on the M15000.
