I just used the Duplicolor engine paint... i think it was rated for like 500* or whatever. Longest part was cleaning the intake, I'm lucky the intake wasn't gunky or anything because the person i bought it off of cleaned it a little. Eventually I will paint my coolant crossover and a couple other things.... but don't know when lol.

yea thats cool i never thought of painting that! the radiator shroud would look cool if it was painted. now that i think of it there are a lot of different things that could be painted!

If you want to see a slightly crazy paint job... look at CanadianRigger's truck:

I have seen GreenMachines in person. I looks very clean with that. I would say it makes it look a lot more attractive then most 6.5l's. Just one solid color looks good. I may as well paint my intake and what not also. Probably maroon like my truck.

Look in my garage, pics of my motor before I dropped it back in the truck. I used some flame proof VHT (1200-2000 degree rating) on the manifolds and turbo, and some VHT Metallic in a bluish silver on the intake, rated for 650 degrees, some VHT gloss black on the engine block (550 F I think) and some Duplicolor aluminum paint on the heat shields, and the heads. I think it came out pretty good.

I had the valve covers, intake manifold, water crossover and turbo housing powder coated hammertone silver on my engine.
I like it and it looks good, but almost gets lost once the engine is installed.

maybe this summer ill yank the engine out and clean it, put new gaskets and a CDR on it and paint the whole deal. john deere green on the intake, heads, valve covers, oil pan and block, and gloss black on the exhause manifolds, turbine housing, and presure chamber. oh and green injectors and injector lines and ip :D.
