Drove in the driveway,shut it off,next morning start it up ,about 2 sec. it shuts off.repeats over and over.Did it a couple weeks ago,I pump the primer on filter and it started.Not this time. Any past history? Thanks

My guess is that you're losing prime and getting air from somewhere. Did you try another filter? Try tweaking the filter you have just a little tighter? Make sure your old o ring comes out when you change filters. Also...if you still have the original plastic bleed screw, you might pull it our and see if it's cracked or possiblly stripped. If it is I suggest an aluminum replacement....

I have had same issue as you. Ended up using a vacuum hand pump to pull fuel through and into filter...same reason. Bad seal on both the WIF on the bottom of the filter and not tight enough on the top end as well. Air is definitely your culprit.

now with a lift pump...? no worries. :D
