Got the very sad news this morning that Adam Deist passed away yesterday. Adam loved pulling his black and orange LLY and it's very sad that he didn't get more time in the seat.

He lost his battle with cancer. Life sure is fragile.

Rest in Peace, bud.

RIP Adam. God speed.
I spent a lot of time talking to Adam. I had no idea about the cancer.

It was in his shoulder, of all places. Never heard of such a thing myself.

Got the message from Caleb this morning, sure makes you wish you could of talked to him more before the end. He'll be missed by all that knew him, one of those guys that had a friend in everyone he met. If anyone knows of any service arrangements let me know. RIP buddy.

Sad news. I hate reading of young lives being taken by cancer.

He is so young to die. He loved beagles. I remember talking to him in the chat room back in the day about his truck and his dogs. He will be missed a lot. RIP Adam.

My heart jumped when I saw this thread title...I thought no...cant be....

I had heard that Adam had cancer, but I somehow knew he would pull through.

He was a GREAT guy, back in the early days of the LLY I used to talk to him on the phone about tuning etc...

we'll all miss you adam, I know your pups will too. RIP. :(

Gosh it seems like only yesterday when I was talking to Adam... and even in the beginnning when blowing the snot out of stock turbos. He was one of the first fellas I met on here that I could call a friend.

Adam, you will be missed. The legacy of a truly great person is measured in the people who find within each one of us a kindred spirit.

Godspeed Adam.

That's terrible. A finer young man you would not meet.

My thoughts are with the friends and family.

Just got back from the funeral home. Calvin Miller and I went.

Met his father, Paul, and he said that the cancer spread was the issue. It went from one shoulder to the other, got worse, then finally moved to his organs. Said that once the docs figured that it had gotten everywhere, they made him comfortable and sent him home.

There were lots of pics of Adam with the truck, and many more of him with the beagles.

Sad deal all around.

Kevin and I just got home as well. Met up with Caleb and his wife Cory for the drive up. Got to meet and talk with his parents, seem to be holding up pretty well considering the circumstances. Almost lost it myself looking at all the pictures and memorabilia, hit's home when you remember how it was spending time and talking with him.

May heaven be full of champion beagles and bomb proof Dmax pistons for ya bud. RIP Adam.

tough thing to hear. I remember sitting in the stands 4-5 years ago saying I will have a truck like his one day so I guess Adam is to "blame" for this mess I am involved in called truck pulling. God bless his family and RIP Adam

I think it's only fitting that people put kind words into the "garage" of our recently fallen forum member:

wow i just saw this. i watched this truck pull at my local county fair a few years ago (2007?) and it was the only duramax in the class and he won the class. this was right before he cracked a piston and it caught on fire. i never meant him, but really liked the truck and found it on youtube and thats when i saw the video of it catching on fire. RIP man

I just watched a bunch of his vids today. His truck ran real good. It was fun spending some time watching him have fun with his truck. Here are a couple vids I found:
