I thought this was an interesting article. Has anyone tried this? How does this compare to Heath Diesel's 'balance' kit?

I've looked at the following:

1) Upgrade to '97 cooling system http://www.kennedydiesel.com/detail.cfm?ID=32
2) Heath's Balanced flow system http://www.heathdiesel.com/P/HDP1526/
3) Hummer rear-head cooling patch (reference link at top)
4) Going with Evan's coolant. http://www.evanscooling.com

What do you guys think?

Sincerely,

Rob

Havn't gotten around to it, but I plan on tapping my block off plates and plumbing it together myself, with pictures of 'course.

I plan on tapping mine and installing two temp gauges to monitor for awhile then connecting them and flowing to the heater core return at the crossover

I have the Heath kit on my truck with Kennedy's fan & clutch. I am very happy. I pull a 27' fifth wheel that weighs 7600 on the scale. Temps have been in the high 80's locally and I have no problem with heating. If you are interested in this system, I would suggest you call Bill Heath and have him explain the research he put in to it. You maybe should do that to each of the vendors of the various produts. I am not trying to be a commercial for Heath Diesel just pass along my own experience.

Best Regards,
Dan

That's a good idea - but... I was trying to pick the brains of those on this forum so that I can get a 'real-world' assessment of what these systems can do. Also, to cut through some of the 'marketing-eze' and get some application-oriented feedback on these various cooling strategies.

I see the kit is only for the pre dual stat cooling system.

Actually, they have a dual-stat model too.
