Hey All!

I know that this has been run into the ground as much as the Torsion Bar question, but should I be concerned with EGT's towing about 12k into the mountains of southwestern VA? There are some decent grades (3%-5% for 3+ miles), and I don't have gauges... Gonna lower the Predator to 40HP JIC, but I'm looking for advice.

Later this summer I'll be taking about 20k-22k along the same route. Any concerns or comments?

I would, install a gauge or load the factory/stock tune.
I tow a 7k TT. In the 40 tune temps climb to 1200 range in high gear. In the 65 tune I've seen over 1350 (backed down before it got higher) in high gear. Once the truck down shifts the temps drop to 1100.
Play it safe, get the gauge.
