I pulled my Dmax the first time last night and I was doing real good until the 220ft mark when the truck just starting pulling good and then it was like it shifted into drive or starting cutting out.

I was in 4 low in 3rd gear with tow/haul on powerpup on 95hp frontend lowered and springs clamped.

and when I let up after I spun out my truck died I guess. but it started back up.

was it the fuel pressure code that caused it or the ally doin something?

I would really appreciate any info/help I would like to go to a pull a week from Friday.

P.S.
A few times while running down the road empty I have ran it hard and let off quick and it wouldn't go over 2,000 rpms but if I hooked up my powerpup to read a code nothing showed up but when I started it back up everything was fine.

Last night I tried to read a code and nothing showed up but it still wouldn't go over 2k so i just started home and then everything was fine.

sorry if this is confusing. I would gladly explain to someone over the phone at my expense.

More than likely your truck is dying at the end of a pull, because your torque converter is not unlocking fast enough. During your spin out turn your tow/haul off, and that should cure the problem. The other problem, maybe a dirty fuel filter? How many miles on the filter?

If you couldn't get over 2k rpm, doesn't sound like he limped the tranny?

maybe has 5k on the fuel filter. does anything show up on the instrument cluster if I limped the tranny? everything looked fine.

thanks, George

Change the programer. I do not believe you had a transmission issue. I believe you have a problem with your power adder. Call the manufacturer and see what they say. Bet they send you another unit.

where was the pull?

are you sure it wasn't in 2nd gear and upshifted into 3rd at the wrong time bogging the motor?

dmaxlover, is right about the motor dying at the end with the converter locked. You have to shut off T/H mode at the end of your pull when you're spinning out.

did the truck hrow any codes at the pull?

no codes at all.
Shelbyville, In it was a HSTPA tractor pull the local trucks after.

but it wouldn't go over 2k rpms. I think thats what happened when the truck started coasting like, until I got under the 2k range and then it started to pull again but I had lost alot of my momentum.

Hopefully by next friday I will have something figured out. My local pull, Princeton, In will be then and there are alot of Dodges talkin crap.
but it will be fun nun the less :ro)

Thanks for the info, George
