i own a 2007.5 new style gmc 3500 reg cab 3500Hd with 215/85/16. my question is, i want to put these 235/85/16 that i have , will these fit without having a leveling kit installed? im going to install one but not right now, just wondering if i can still install these tires without problem. thanks

They will fit. They aren't that big. People run 265/75s without leveling kits and they are wider.

I am about to put 235/85/16 tires (Michelin LTX M/S2) on my '01. They will fit with no problems, although if you tow or haul heavy there is a chance that the rear dual sidewalls may rub on each other...easy fix...wheel spacers.
The 265's Brad92 mentioned will also work just fine, but you will definitely need spacers for the rear duals, and they will stick out past the fender wells in the rear if you use the 2" spacers. If you use the 1.5" spacers they may not stick out, but you will have to cut the rear studs...just the part that isn't threaded so the duals will mount properly with the spacers.
Some guys have mounted the 265s on the front and the 235s on the rear and this looks really good....in my opinion anyways...and there are no issues...umm except you can't rotate'em... :D
Note: the 235s and the 265s are the same height at least within a .1 of inch.
