My LLY EGR was unplugged as soon as I brought the truck home and blocked as soon as I could get my hands on a plate. 50k miles now with no problems.

No problems yet but it's only been about 10k miles. Looks like I may have a little leak at the blocker plate though. PCV re-route is coming soon.

I've had mine in for 20,000+ miles and had no problems. Just image yourself running with a back pack on your back. Would you want to do that while puffing on a cigarette?

installed blocker @ 34,500 miles: Mar 07
fingered same day
now @ 174,500 miles

I'm still driving it :D
But am contemplating complete egr delete at some point to make some space. I s'pose I should take my intake apart one day as well and have a look...maybe even clean it out.. am curious to see how much of said crud got in there over the orig 34.5K miles.

What do you mean by FE9? Thanks

Sorry, going too fast. I meant to say that it is FE9, NOT CA Emissions.

FE9 is Federal Emissions, all states except California and I believe a couple in the northeast.

YF5 (I think it is) is California Emissions.

This code should be on the door in your glovebox.

Some trucks that are FE9 do not set off a SES light when blocked, mine did.

EGR blocked and PCV rerouted for over 70000 miles without any problems. I did it as soon as I brought the truck home from the dealer.
