I have a 01 Camaro SS 6spd Rag Top....about a month or so after I purchased my EFI and did a few tunes to my truck; I used the 2nd license on the Camaro. I changed a few minor things and loaded in a new tune with out any issue.

now it has been over a year since I have "tuned" the Camaro and I have needed to changed a few things because of SES's. I went into the tune I previously down loaded and changed what needed to be change; went to down load new tune and the down loader runs about a third of the way thru and gives message that the cable is not locked to the car and that I need to purchase a new license.

I went thru and checked that the vin in the computer matches the vin on the car and they do; the ECM has not been changed since I have had EFI on the car.

Any Ideas????

I say someone from EFILive will see this but I post over on their forum site too and a email the tech support. If it is a license issue they usually help with either replacing the license if something has gone odd.

- The screen produced by following this guide (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=110&Itemid=120).
- Connect to your vehicle and then go to the 'Flash->Show PCM Info' menu in the Tune Tool, select the correct controller and then click 'Get Info'

Ok; I'll gather what info I can pull up..I'm away from the car until at least Wednesday..

ok so its been a while and I have some new info for you to look at.....

the ECM is now saying that it is "locked" and I need a code to "unlock" it.....as far as I can remember I never "locked" the tune or ECM..so some how it became locked...


Emails to be sent

email wont go thru. files to big to send as a group..... need to find land line #

Check the try alt keys... if that doesnt work possibly try 0000, maybe during a flash somewhere the seed got dropped?

We don't have a landline number because of our location.

Try and zip the files and email them through.

Have you followed the suggestions that were given when you originally raised this issue?
