The system is on the way and I want to use the stainless band clamps vice the supplied steel clamps. Can anyone tell me how clamps are required?

On a dual without the using the extension for the crew cab it should be 3 of them, this is from memeory so be gentle if I have it wrong.

This might help http://www.dieselperformanceparts.com/pdfs/S6002%20series%20instructions.pdf
It looks like some of the hangers are integral to the clamps, so you may have to get hangers welded to the pipes in order to use all band clamps...

Thanks guys. In viewing the instructions I come up with 5 assuming none of the clamps with integrated hangers are used on Crew Cab short beds. Guess I need to find someone with crew cab short bed ... I know someone and I'll PM them. I would hope those clamps with hangers are stainless but I think I know the answer to that.

You will need to buy 4 clamps........one before and two after the muffler......for the duals........and one for the two piece drivers side tailpipe.........

If you have the down pipe and it is a 4 bolt flange then 4 will do it.........if you have a slip flange then you need 1 more........for 5 total

I did get the downpipe so I need 4 correct? I'm assuming I don't have to use any of the supplied clamps with integrated hangers?

Hmmm, that "only if" confused me :) You mean the downpipe could be either 4-bolt flange OR slip joint? If so, why either? I'll just buy 5 to play it safe since it sounds like I won't know until it gets here. Thanks again for all the feedback.

Checked it again and it is five total and one with a hangar on it. Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner.
