By the book its what came on it 245 75 16. I have 265 75 16 and thats as big as I would go on the stock rim but there are some around here with 315's I believe.

The largest tires I have seen that are approved for a 6.5" wide rim are 255/85/16s. I have seen pictures of 315/75/16s on the narrow rims but it looks like the sidewalls are pulled in way too far for my taste, plus it is likely unsafe that way.

When I put the 265s the garage showed me BFGs book and they show our stock wheel as being to small. I think they need a 7" or even a 7.5" inch wheel to mount the 265s, I did it anyway.....no problems. A friend of mine put 285s on the stock wheel....it rubbed in turns.

That is cool they do not rub, I guess my friend was unlucky. But our stock wheels are too small for my 265s. This is one of the ONLY things that piss me off about my truck. I want to get new wheels but have not gotten around to droping $1600+ on new wheel and tires yet. :(

Jus ditched the 35's and went to the 37" Toyo MT. Love em so far, 8 inch CST clears em fine

i Love the way my 315's look with the stock rim. they do rub some. but its worth it! I love the way the side walls look.
