Tried to search but couldn't come up with anything.
Does the tow-haul mode learn completely separate from the reg. mode?
I was thinking that I could only run the Xtreme in tow-haul, then have it completely trained for racing or driving by myself in that setting. Then in reg. mode run the 120 all the time. Then if I needed to switch power levels for in town driving w/ the gf, it wouldn't completely bug out the tranny.
Would this work?
On Edit: Is racing in tow-haul a good idea in the first place? I've never really heard a clear-cut answer on that. I know that most activate their co-pilot with the tow-haul button, so I just figured that it couldn't be hurting track times.

Some respond better to TH some like non TH at the track. I dont think anyone has come up with a clear cut answer but I believe that some TH stuff crosses over to non TH and vice vrsa. I dont think the tables are completely seperate. Set it to Xtreme and run it daily, you will get used to the pedal and it wont be so twitchy. If the GF dont like it ditch her ):h Only time I take it outa Kill is alot of times when I hit the interstate and set the cruise for a road trip I will set it to 80 or if I'm plowing I will turn her down.....otherwise set it and forget it with the Xtreme IMO:ro)

T/H must be learned on its own. This has to be qualified. We do not know where the learning curve is ( TAP configuration) so, your Ally may be close to what is expected of it or it may be far away. Example: Lasr time my truck ran at the drags I flipped the TTS Extreme on the day before ( kinda late, but the best I could do). I got off the freeway 8 miles befor the dragstrip and did a bunch of launches and burnouts in O/D. Ally was shifting acceptable and thought I was close to ready. Made my first pass and found the engine layed down on me at the 1/8 and 3/4 big time. WTF says I? Coming back on the transition road I found the Ally flairing in all the shifts. I knew then what happened ( dum$hit). First thing I did at the line was engage T/H and the Ally must have slipped bad enough for the TCM and ECM to pull fluel and timing big time. Next run the engine layed down only once ( et was .3 quicker) Next run, engine did not lay down and I ran .2 quicker. I will run the Ally in T/H a couple of days before the next race in the Extreme mode next time. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I guess I will try to drive in town with the Xtreme a few more days. The shifts are pretty hard, especially the 1-2. Its not slipping, and I don't mind it, but I would imagine somebody riding with me wouldn't like it very much.

After Mike did my SC III, normal mode quieted down and ran like a champ within a few days of in-town driving. On the other hand, T/H took a lot longer to "learn." It seemed to help a lot to actually pull some weight in T/H. Now that it has learned, I can change power levels and trailer weights with a lot less effect on shifting.
