I would like to contact GM regarding my Duramax and my dealer.
Does anyone have any information on how to look up phone numbers or e-mail addresses for GM or the local reps in my area (Twin Cities).
My extendable tow mirrors don't work again and the dealer says they can't do much about it. The keep lubing them and then they don't work again. I'm sorry, but I don't buy a truck with this kind of option just to find out that the option is junk.
At 28,000 miles this truck I expect these mirrors to work. And if they don't replace them with a working alternative.

please post any info you get or what they say because they do the same thing on my 05 and 02 duramaxes.

When my 03 had problems I decided to fix it myself since I hate taking my truck to the dealer. I lubed everything up and I tightened up the slip clutch. It worked for me for a year and the next guy hasn't had any problems either.

Howard, can you share what you know about this problem with the rest of us? Just in case later down the line others have same problem. Thanks
Tightening the slide motor clutches like Max Power indicated, along with cleaning and lubing the slides; seems to take care of most of the ones I have seen. Your first call should be to 1-800-222-1020 (cust. assist. center), they will be in touch with your dealer; or a rep if neccessary.

Trust me the Cust assist center is useless.. I have dealt with them over my 6.0 that is a PITA junk box and they have done nothing.... 6 fuel pumps and they still don't give a s--t and can not figure out why the truck keeps blowing pumps. Or how to fix the other 10 problems...
