after being told many times that it was imposible to fit jl 12 w3v3 behind the seat in my crew cab i wanted to prove every local stereo shop wrong and figure i would show you guys how i did it. i did have to cut down black plastic vents remove tabs off the back wall and modify seats by removing the part where the flap mounts to and moving forward half inch they fit. also had to grind down the mdf in the box 1/8 to get the subs to fit. over all i am very impressed they sound awsome. and the seat still flips up and functions 100%. i was thinking of getting box painted white with some air brushing on it maybe dirty max or some thing what do you guys think. here are pics
ps thanks to 6APPEAL for the plans to follow even tho i modded them

with out grills over the front your gonna tear the speakers up.... they move out a good inch and a half with a decent amp. good work on stuffing em in there tho

If they are always turned down, why not either a single 10 or 2 10's and less money and work?
Call me cazy but if your not going to try to make yourself deaf a single 10 if setup properly with the right box, ect.. is enough, and alot cheaper.

Umm air spacer worked out to be a 2.56 cubic feet right at required airspace for the subs specs and I got about three quarter of a inch clerance but grills are next and finaly I only paid 200 for subs guy was tight on cash. I like doing the impossible and very happy with the results

I don't care that you had to mod the plans to make it work for you. Happy to help.

x2. These days I'm more about staying "under-cover" than hanging it out. 99% of folks don't pay attention to my truck, which is fine with me. Of course, having 2 kiddie seats in the back helps with the disguise.:p:
