So I stored my truck for the last two years. I have a 2007 3500 Sierra classic with a LBZ with 6000 miles. Anyway, after the first 6 months of storage I stole the trickle charger to use on the boat batteries and forgot to put it back on the truck. Last week I change the oil, fuel filter and replace the batteries. Turned the key and she fired right up.

Actually the weird thing is she started even faster than usual. I was thinking maybe it was due to the priming of the fuel due to the filter change. Do trucks with lift pumps start better? Does the pump come on before the truck actually starts? I am not saying the truck does not start well, just cranks for a split second longer than it did after the storage.

I am guessing that the new batteries and the primed filter helped start it quickly. That seems logical to me any ways. As far as the lift pump goes, no idea. I would assume it pressurizes and turns off until the truck is started and running.

Anyway still kinda cool. Sat for so long and pretty much fired right up without missing a beat

My FASS runs no matter what when the key is in the ON position, i let mine run for a few seconds before i fire it up, my truck doesn't even really turn over it just starts instantly everytime, even with cold glowplugs.:stick_out

XZ2 as per Clark...flip toggle switch - on comes lift pump - turn key and truck insta-starts. Makes life easy when changing filters as well.

Very cool, congrats.. Nice when they start after being stored.

Damn, i wish mine only had 6k miles. But then i have enjoyed them alot too so the milage is a sacrifice.
