Hey guys quick question. I have an 2006 GMC LBZ, will my Diablo Predator also work on my uncles 2007 Chevy LBZ. Is there any major draw back to doing something like this.

Yes, your predator will work on your uncles truck no problems....the only catch is you can only have the tune loaded on one vehicle at a time which means you have to take your truck back to stock.

yes it will work on the other truck but it has to be unlocked first. those tuners lock themselves to a certain truck vin number and unless you unlock it (send it back to diablosport or do it yourself) then you cant tune any other truck with it. its not like efi where you can tune multiple trucks at the same time. only one at a time per tuner.

They use to, now none of them lock. Don't know why. My buddy bought one last year, for his 02. and used it on a 04 lb7. so they don't lock em anymore.

As long as the stock tune is returned to the first vehicle the predator can be used to tune another vehicle now and doesn't need to be returned to diablo anymore. You can however pug into a second vehicle and use the diagnostics to read trouble codes on a second vehicle while a tune is installed on the first vehicle. You just can't tune two different vehicles at the same time.

Just make sure you have one of the later software updates to the Predator. Some of the earlier Predator software versions will not work with some of the later LBZ software updates without being updated first.
