This looks like good stuff for those running BioD. I have not found it for sale, yet, but I believe I will be trying it out soon.

i would think changing your oil every 3-5k would keep bio in the crackcase at bay.. im running b100 in the wifes excursion (oil changed every 3k ) im running reg #2 in the D-MAX so i change the oil when the computer says so...

I found an article (and posted it somewhere on here), that said VW engineers found 50% (not a typo) fuel dilution in a TDi after 10,000 miles on an oil change - they were using B20 and had an intact DPF running normal regen cycles.

So I'd say you might have a fuel dilution problem if you are trying to run B100 3000 miles with an intact DPF. No DPF = no dilution problem.

You can't know what's going on without doing oil analysis. Send in a sample at 3k miles and see what fuel dilution is actually occurring. If it's okay, sample it at 3k - 5k intervals miles, until you know the effect of regeneration on dilution. Once you know, set your oil change interval to occur before dilution reaches the abnormal level. Relying on any additive without knowing the level of dilution is risky business.

Amen.

But using the additive will supposedly help the generation of organic acids as the bioD breaks down in the oil. I think it might lower the copper numbers in an oil analysis. It would take a while to get all the numbers, but since I only use B01 it should be no problem for me.
