I know, I've read the sticky on this, but I cannot find the answer to this one question. I bought my boost gauge from gloshift, and it came with a tee fitting. According to the instructions you must have a air supply coming from AND to the manifold. Is this only for gassers? Is the boost supply to the gauge all you need? Or must there be a return vacuum line as well? Going to be getting this put in in the morning and am not sure about this.
THANKS!

There is only one line you need to tap into and that is anywhere in the intake. Turbo Diesel's do not create vacuum in the intake system ;). You "can" T off your AIT or you can drill&tap anywhere on your upper intake manifold (for ease of access).

O.K. So, just one straight straight line to the gauge. Cool, I'll toss the tee in another box! LOL I bought the boost bolt when I got my pmd isolator and cable from pmdcable. I just knew this would be an easier idea. That Tee and the instructions that came with the gauge from Glowshift threw me off. Thanks!

The guage should have come with a fitting to tap into the manifold as well. Both of the ones i have bought from them came with it. But since you have the boost bolt it will be easier to install

I've got the boost gauge hooked - still no boost. I replace the solenoid, but no boost. There's still vacuum coming to the solenoid but none coming out of it. There's not much vacuum coming to the solenoid itself. I got a new vac. pump. So, I'll try that next. The issue I'm now at is this ept sending unti. Where in the hell do I drill into? Or get a drill into?! About the best way I can find is to take the shroud off the inside of the drivers fender well and access it through the wheel well. Is there an easier way? Is there some trick to this that I'm missing?

How is your boost guage line connected to the boost bolt? The reason that they include the tee fitting and the threaded fitting is that they have a constrictor of some sort in there so the guage will read correctly. But if you just used a normal fitting and connected it to the bolt it may read too much than what you really have....... hmmm dont know about that one but something to think about.

if you use a standad ferrel fitting like you would use for oil pressure -- they will not read correctly or at all if they are overtightened and pinch the line closed -- just food for thought

As far as the egt probe goes, i installed mine in the driverside manifold at the collector. seems to be ok, egt's are a lil high but i think i need to replae the crossover since it is the factory piece.

Well, I started this gauge installation as an indicator for trying to diagnose my boost problem. I have a boost solenoid, vac pump, and a new wastegate actuator. It's gotta be one of em. I figure this way too, I shouldn't have to worry about it for a while. The new wastegate actuator, I know, is not part of the problem. I think the vac pump is. If I kick it and get the rpm's up a little bit, I feel, and see on the gauge, the turbo kick in all of a sudden. It will spool for a little after that, but then it's out again until I kick the rpm's up again.
Thanks for the info on the egt probe. I think I'm going to pull the turbo off and clean it out. I saw a post here where someone mounted it into a squared off spot on the side of the pass. manifold. I'm going to go there with it. Seems to be a good spot. I only regret that I don't have the injectors. Sure would be nice to replace these while I have the turbo off.

My homemade turbo master gave me 6-9 psi increase over stock vac pump setup. Super easy, super cheap. Stock setup not the greatest for getting boost.
