Remember to bring a box of bandaids.........leave small children or those easily offended by screaming and obscenities being yelled throughout the process.

Just the thought of having to do mine soon and hearing this, makes me look forward to it. Chris

I did mine in 10 degree weather. The truck is too big to fit in the garage. Small heater on the motor helped. A helpfull hint is to take a grinder and open up the slot slightly. It will drop in much easier.

don,t let them scare you.all the scary comments almost kept me from doing it .it was really easy, hardest part is loosening the nuts.i am large handed 250 lbs and 6'1".no band aids or blood on my hands.do add some spray copper coat sealer to both sides, prevent leaks.

Not trying to thread jack or anything but I was kinda wondering this too. After the plate has been installed, would I have to do any reprogramming for codes and such?

Edge race line of tuners will take care of EGR codes. Chris

Oh and start rubbing PB Blaster on the bolts now. I was able to take mine off with a 12 point box wrench. A 6 pt would be better. I just got lucky. Wrench on it until you think your wrists are about to snap in half and then a little more pressure and the bolts will come loose.

If you want full instructions on the plate install with pictures, kennedydiesel.com has exactly that. You will have to take out the air box and the two bolts you have to loosen are not the easiest things to get to.

You shouldn't need one. You have EFI Live and that's supposed to let you reprogram just about anything.

A buddy of mine needs one, another buddy of mine is the one with the EFI Setup, but he doesn't know how to block the codes, so.......

I would like to order from Alligator, so he and I could order some things at the same time.....

Yeah I did a little more research last night and found that it would. Thanks for the help though. I ordered the PCV reroute, the egr blocker plate and the transgo jr last night. Now I just need to get off this rig so I can get home and install it all.
