Looking at either a, Edge Evolution for the 06-07 LBZ or the DIablosport Predator U7186. Which one would the diesel gods recommend? I like the fact that the evo has the gauges built in but I have heard some bad things about the edge/juice combos and I didn't know if this would be the same. I know there are other options out there (PPE, EFI Live) but , I don't have that much cash to spend. I am looking to buy used.

i had good luck with the predator when i ran it. it is a pretty hot little tuner and i snagged it for like $200 used on this site. i have heard really good reviews on the new edge...there are lots of horror stories with the old edge. the new one is supposed to be much better.

also, if your looking to go cheaper then check out the ats e power. i love mine and its half the price of the ppe hot +2 and is very similar tuning.

The Edge programmers are great, you won't be disappointed in either. If the Edge is in your budget I would go with it, it is a great all in one unit.

i have edge race. it's great and able to adjust the tire size too. i have set at 4 good power and smoke too
but if you are in cal. you may not pass the smog test.

I've been running the Predator on the 65 setting for quite a while. I like it and haven't had any issues. My truck is a dd with stock trans so I didn't need to big of a tune though.

I would go with the edge.. You might want to check with the vendors on here & see what they go for new. The price is not that bad on them..

I just came across a brand new PPE Xcellerator economy for the 06-07 LBZ and the seller is willing to let me have it for $275+shipping. Is this a better choice as compared to the other two? I have heard good things about the PPE's I am just wanting to know.

Remember to get gauges also if you go that route.
