: **7-9 Cognito Pics**
CAJUNBOWTIE 04-27-2010, 01:19 AM I finally took pics of my truck. I have the 7-9" NTBD kit with all the upgrades except for dual shock hoop. Twisted Offroad in Lake Charles did the work. Big thanks to them. Truck came out better than I thought it would. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc263/bcgiii1985/GRAY%20TRUCK/S6300448.jpg

Sledheadxp800r 04-28-2010, 01:11 AM What are you run ing in the rear for lift springs? Blocks? Springs and blocks?
CAJUNBOWTIE 04-28-2010, 11:06 AM I'll take pics of the cv angles later today. Truck is in the shop for new seats.
I'm running 6" deavers in the rear.
slosh 04-28-2010, 12:27 PM How does it ride with the single shocks? I'm
on the fence of doing dual shocks and don't want to spend the money right now if I don't have to. I'm ordering your exact same setup at the first of the month

Just leafs, no blocks. The rear sits a hair higher than the back.

Nor-Cal Nick 04-29-2010, 04:49 PM http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc263/bcgiii1985/GRAY%20TRUCK/Picture075.jpg
Just a heads up......Make sure those HD tie rods have plenty of grease in them, the boots don't look like they are bulging full. If they are running dry they will wear out.
Sledheadxp800r 04-29-2010, 05:05 PM Yep thoes HD rods take like a hundred pumps to fill with grease
Nor-Cal Nick 04-29-2010, 05:16 PM Yep thoes HD rods take like a hundred pumps to fill with grease
101 .....:D Just make sure they are just starting to puke grease out the sides and thats FULL;)
Sledheadxp800r 04-29-2010, 05:32 PM The pics of thoes things on the web don't do them any justace they are alot bigger than I thought they were gonna be

truck is on 33's rigth now going to run 35's once i get some more money but want to get exhaust done first. Thanks to north cal nick for supplying the lift
Sledheadxp800r 05-10-2010, 10:58 PM I didn't think it was going to be that tall. LOL. Its set around 8-8.5. Rides better than stock.
Do you know the length of the front shocks at ride height from the center of the bottom bolt to where it mounts on the top
CAJUNBOWTIE 07-13-2010, 08:50 AM Since the lift has been installed, when I shift from Park to Reverse, or from Drive (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=377940#) to Park or any other combo, I hear a loud clunk. It is obvious that the shaft going into the transmission is not sticking as far into the transmission as it was when it was stock height (by looking at the rust lines). It is a 1 piece rear drive shaft What can be done to fix this? Get a longer shaft? Please help
Sledheadxp800r 07-13-2010, 09:48 AM Does the slip yoke have noticably more play than it did before?
MAX4X4 07-13-2010, 10:18 AM Truck looks good, but those look like some steep angles.
deezy200 07-13-2010, 10:39 AM Truck is looking good. Not sure what is caused the issue but if you are hearing a loud clunk then you made be tearing some expensive parts up. Also, watch the chrome on the Mazzi wheels, I had Hulks on my old truck and the chrome pitted and started pealing off after about 6 months.
CAJUNBOWTIE 07-13-2010, 11:30 AM I changed both u-joints on the driveshaft and then had to leave for work. I won't be home for a few weeks, but I don't remember having any play in the slip yoke. I've read about updated slip yokes, greasing the splines, springs and even a rubber bouncy ball (LOL). I will def grease the splines, but just wondering what you guys think or even have done if had this problem.
Thanks for the comments on the truck. And yea I've been told about the pitting on the Mazzis (of course after I had ordered them). I was told the pitting issue was resolved. We shall see I guess.
MAX4X4 07-13-2010, 02:11 PM It seems all these chinese chrome rims nowadays pit......seems they are all crap!
theunderlord 07-13-2010, 04:49 PM easy fix.. don't get chrome rims. :D
deezy200 07-13-2010, 11:33 PM That's why I bought forged aluminum wheels and had them clear powder coated before I installed them. I wasn't going through the same b.s. with the chrome pitting and falling off.
