Well I have been lurking for a little while, I bought a 05 2500hd Duramax, allison tranny combo about 3 weeks ago. An step up from the 03 1500HD 6.0 gasser I had.
I couldnt really pas up the deal got a crewcab LS package 4x4 for less then 31k.
I really like it so far.
Hope to tow with it at the end of the month.

I wish I had mine. Every GMC dealer in NorCal is pretty much out of Dmax's right now.

the local Chevy Dealer here has over 300 trucks in stock and about 1/2 of them are Duramax's
Check out Pat McGraths chevyland they have a website but I dont have it on this computer atm

The Dealer in Auburn had a couple, one was a CC 4x4. It's Gold Rush Chevrolet...

Thanks for the suggestions but I am looking for a GMC. I don't really care for the front ends on the new Chevy's. The GMC's are a little tougher to find. Not as many dealers or inventory.

It was just about this time last year that I discovered there were 3 2004 GMC diesels in Nor Cal and ordered my 2005. It was a painfully long 8 weeks but knowing I had one of the first 2005's in Santa Clara County and the first to roll of my dealer's was a small concilation prize.:-)

I wish I had mine. Every GMC dealer in NorCal is pretty much out of Dmax's right now. Call Chase Chevroley in Stockton. They got them there. Ask for Larry Harbin. He hooked me up 2 weeks ago.

Welcome to the place Charles and congrats on the purchase! Where in Iowa are you from (I am guessing close to CR since you mentioned Pat McGrath.) They sure had a HUGE selection last time I was there.

Yes near CR live in Marion and work in Iowa City atm.
I am enjoying the new truck, runs great and gets even better mileage just finally glad to talk the wife into it. payments a little steep but got the 0% for 3 years
