My E locker has been ordered and should be her by the end of the week! I can't wait for that and pulling season to start!

Any tips or tricks that would be good to know for the install would help a bunch! Thanks guys.

Take your time and read the directions TWICE. It's not a terrible job, but if you rush, you can mess things up (like placement of the hole for the wires and making sure the locking ring engages between two ribs (to keep it from turning and pulling on wires).

Thanks for the heads up! I will be installing it in two weeks so I will have some time to read the instructions over really well. How long does it normally take any idea? I was figuring about 10-12 hours.

Don't let your dog eat the wires of it while it's sitting on the floor, complete and ready for install!!!
Also if you've had the front diff out before it's not bad. Hour to pull the diff, couple to build it, hour to put it back in. Figure another hour or so to wire it up.
Get new side bearings as well. Even if you try and successfully save your old ones, you'll have these on hand to be able to continue with your build without a parts store run.

Luckily NO DOGS ALLOWED in the shop! ha ha that doesn't sound like fun either trying to fix the chewed up wires. Will do nothing like a new set of bearings just incase and if everything works good I can always return them.

As long as you got the power to turn all 4 wheels it really helps.

Make shure you put red loc-tite on your lock bolt for spider gears, This is what will happen if you don't!

Well I got it all installed and everything took about 12 hours not too bad and so far so good. The first test is this weekend at the first pull of the year.

Well so far so good. I am very happy with the setup and couldn't be happier with the way it is performing. It was for sure a good idea for pulling. Here is a video of my truck this weekend. Still have a few things to finish before its all setup for the season. I finished up my weight bar and just waiting to finish my traction bars. I ended up 5th this pull but I was about a 1000lb lighter then all the other truck because my weight bar wasn't done but it was a good pull to see how it acted.
