While out to FDIC in Indianapolis, I talked to this guy for a couple minutes discussing super single wheels for the 4500/5500 trucks. He said he used to get his wheels from USA 6x6. They went out of business and out of his fruatration, he figured out how to build his own. He gets the raw wheels from a manufacturer and then adds his own centers. He can make custom wheels for different trucks. When I mentioned this site he sounded interested and said he was gonna check in and see what it was about. I know we're not supposed to link to another site however, here's the link: http://www.1stattack.com/brush-fire-trucks/super-single-wheels

Wouldn't you lose a lot of capacity going to a single e rated tire?

I asked the same thing. He had a F550 with them and I asked about the total weight of the truck. It was less than load rating of the truck but wasn't over the actual weight of the truck. On teh heavier trucks he uses another rating other than E. I don't recall the manufacturer. I can call and find out if anyone is interested. It is a mud type tire.
