Yes. The DIC becomes useless after different programming enters the picture. The different program ruins the DIC, similar to the way marriage ruins DIC's.

Driver Information Center

The display in the instrument cluster that tells you your mileage and all that other crap like driver 1 and 2

The Juice/Attitude does not "ruin" the DIC - rather the mileage numbers become more optomistic. For me, with the J/A set at 4 when not towing and 2 while towing, the mileage numbers are about 2 MPG higher than hand-calculated MPG.

Without the J/A attached, the DIC was about 1/2 MPG higher than hand-calculated mileage numbers.

More optomistic is an understatement. It isn't anywhere near close UNLESS you totally never give it hardly any throttle. The more throttle the more it is off, and I mean way off, as in the DIC will say you are getting 35 or 42mpg's or some other ridiculous number at 85-90mph

My DIC has been off 1.5 to 2.5 MPG since day one... Installing the Juice/Attitude made no difference in the numbers (hand calculated verses DIC). I can't vouch for the 85 to 90 mph scenario, too many "revenew generators" with radar guns around here to hold those speeds for a sustained distance.

My point is the DIC is a "feel good" tool. nothing makes one happier than standing around with your buds, beer in hand, braggin about how your 7000# truck gets 20 Miles Per Gallon. After real world hand calculating, you will be disappointed to find out the DIC was inflating your MPG numbers 15% to 20%.
