Just for my own benefit I stopped by a checked out the 2011 Ford 6.7 diesel! I must say that truck looks and sounds great..No I didnt drive it! I didnt want to get the bug! You know, once you drive it type of bug! I told the stealer that I wanted to check out the inside for myself. I also wanted to make sure it would run! LOL .. The new Ford is quiter than my Duramax...Told the stealer I was didnt want to make a $60k mistake so I would make sure all the bugs where out before I test drove it! NOT SAYING THAT I WILL BUY ONE, BUT IT SURE HAS MY ATTENTION!

More power speaking from the current 6.4L.
I drove one and was very happy with the difference in the power (stock to stock).

I think this is going to be a great truck. Wish mine would come in already...

Yeah I wasnt a fan of the 6.4 Ford...Duramax was way better at the time when I was test driving vehicles..I really need to compare apples to apples with my current vehicle and the Ford 6.7..

It looks like a sweet truck. Too bad the front is ugly and they didn't really change the body since 1999. I like the 6.4 Powerstroke front end, it looks better.

I think they are good looking trucks. I like them better than the 6.4's. The instrument cluster is neat too.

Very quiet at idle, but once you get on the throttle/put a load on them, I dont think they are really any quieter than a stock LMM...

Id still put money on the stock LML dmax being faster due to the fords being so friggin worthlessly heavy. Once the aftermarket figures them out, who knows. Spartan already has one running without SCR and DPF I think.

Ya tuning is already available for the new motor. Seems they are working quickly.

We will just have to wait to see how she holds up!! Looks to be pretty promising to Ford this time!

The new Ford does look nice and the 6.7 running sounds similar to the Duramax. As far as the Ford weighing more, beef = weight. An F250 weighs more than a GM 2500. Just like a 2500 weighs more than a 1500. They're meant to be for work, not an economy commuter or track queen.

I don't know about others but my truck get decent mpg although I am not really concerned and I have not taken it to the track but am happy with the mpg. And yes I have mods on my truck so I am positive that helps..

I still think the ford weighs quite a bit more than the chevy.

I stopped to look at a Copper colored Lariat today, one word to describe it was wow!

The ergonomics are great, the interior is sweet, like yourself I did not want to drive it, as im sure I would really want to pick one up sooner than later.

Its all a matter of tax preparation at this point (sec 179).

Btw there is a sick leveled out F250 with 35's on PSN

That Ford looks awesome. By painting the grill surround body color it looks good.

It is lifted/leveled in the front.

The F350 has a larger block in the rear.

when you pull on the 26,001 lb CDL limit like im going to be doing alot this year, that extra weight in the ford comes into play in the GCVWR even if its 400lbs, because my truck weights 9200lbs and can tow more than the ford under the CDL limit with more power:D so to me the duramax is a better buy than the ford

example: 2500 4x4 4 door duramax weights 9,200lbs+ 6,000lb trailer= 10,801lb load to be legal without a CDL

250 4x4 4 door ford powerstroke weights *10,000lbs* (ford guys please correct me on that if im wrong) +6,000 trailer= 10,001lb load to be legal without a CDL

IF IM WORNG ON ANY OF THIS PLEASE CORRECT ME

but if i can tow 800 more pounds with the duramax to still be under the 26,001 lb limit the duramax is the better buy to me than the ford, because ill get better mpg's unloaded becuse i weight less, and will be able to haul 800 more pounds and all of this in the long run saves me money:)

I know alot of people go over the 26,001 lb limit everyday without a CDL, but if you get in a wreck your screwd;)

I just saw a 2011 F450, and that thing looked awesome. The dually bed looked totally different, as does the front wheel flares.

I will say that they dropped the ball on the F450 and the dually fenders. Seems that dodge went that route with the fenders and then changed them again which I am sure Ford will do as well.

Also on the 450 they dropped the 19.5 wheels and the over sized brakes as well as they changed the axles. So not sure it is really a true 450 anymore, in my eye anyway. I would rather have a 2010 F450 then a new one.

x2, now the 450 is basically worthless...what makes it better than a 350 with that "heavy tow" package?
