Well I finally put my exhaust on yesterday and can I say I love it! the system is nice, not too loud, and easy to install. What I didn't like was the instructions, or lach there of.

I can tell you that I am throwing no codes yet, that the truck is actually quiter at idle, and just sound like a monster when you nail it. There is also that magic whistling just over idle that sounds like a 727 winding up. I have not noticed a milege increases, mostly because I was nailing the throttle all day, but still got 100 miles to a quater tank.

Was this a cat back system or did you remove the cat?

I am looking at the sae system, I am awaiting delivery of my new 2006 duramax. Was it realativly easy to install? did you use the same hangers?
a friend of mine has the same exhasut, defiantly sounds cool, just like a jet on a runway, thats what grabbed my attention.
would you buy it again, or you look at another brand?

Has anyone heard several exhausts and can shed some light on the ones they like?
I have been looking for one but can't decide. I was looking at the Banks, anyone heard one of those? What about MagnaFlow?

We have tried quite a few systems on the market and prefer the MBRP systems and the Silverline systems. These two systems have fit the best and also sound the best IMO. Tough to beat on price also. I here Banks makes a pretty nice system also, but have not tried them.

I had this installed this past weekend by a local diesel shop. They had ALL kinds of trouble....we ended up going and getting an additional piece of exhaust pipe as their system was a little too short. BTW: While we were away the cat disapperaed...damn coyotes. Even without removing the cat it wasn't the easiest install.

However, it sounds like a 747 jet, and lower EGT's by 200 or so. Put on a mangaflow tip and love it. Also had the juice/attitude install GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
