I posted this under GM gassers also.

Greetings... I have a 2004 2500HD CC 4x4 6.0L and I have yet to find the location of the fuel filter. I have previously owned a '97 and '00 Silverado 4x4's with the 5.7L & 5.3L engines respectively and the fuel filters were located in the same place (driver side, frame mounted).

Any help will be appreciated....... Thanks http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif

If I remember right, it's on the inside of the frame rail....in a goofy plastic bracket....

My other trucks had a plastic bracket also but this 2004 HD has nothing mounted inside the frame rail.

The fuel filter on o4 gassers is in the fuel tank

That is the generals way of reducing maintenance costs to justify the cost of the vehicle. I dont know about you but I would rather change a filter every 30k as cheap insurance
