Welcome. Nice to see another local in here. I live in Newport News. While I have a 6.5 Suburban now, I previously owned an 83 Suburban C20 with a 6.2. I traded it at 275K miles for my current 96 Suburban. I didn't do a lot of wrenching on the 6.2, but did have it rebuilt once. I liked it a lot, especially for the great mileage. Enjoy.
