After divorce in 2008 forced me to sell my LB7  and I was on hiatus from the diesel world for a couple years, I am back. :D I just picked up a 2007 Chevrolet 2500HD EC LMM.

What can you tell me about this engine etc. I have read some things about DPF delete, TPMS issues, mileage not as good as LB7 trucks. What other issues should I know about? Also, what mods give the best results for power, mileage, and general driveability. I don't haul or tow very often, but I drive a lot for work and thought the diesel would be more efficient. Thanks in advance.

as far as mods they are the same as any generation duramax. fuel and air make power.

if it was me my first step would be to get rid of the dpf...it destroys your mileage. of course if you have an existing warranty it will be voided so weight your options. once the dpf is off you will need a tuner to get rid of the codes. i know that ppe, efi, and the edge race will get rid of them. there are more tunes that will do that as well but i dont know which ones specifically. trans, tune, and lift pump and the lmms are putting up very solid hp numbers.
