I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my truck. I recently drove from Quebec to Utah and truck ran great. However I got home and noticed that my truck idled rough after coming to a stop. It was so bad that my truck was jerking at the light. The rought idling only does it some times and I haven't noticed any of the symptoms of injectors except what I described. I was wondering if it is injectors, bad fuel which has clogged the fuel filter, or something else. Any ideas appreciated!

Thanks

Fuel pressure regulator????

What year and how many miles? When was the fuel and air filters last changed?

I get a rough idle from time to time. Dealership did a pressure test and found no problem. Gave me a memo from GM that said that an occasional lopey idle was a natural characteristic of the engine. I run four ounces of Power Service Diesel Kleen every three tanks, and that takes care of it.

Mine did this as well...........I also had 4 injectors that were bad. Dealer changed the 4 bad ones and retested the balance rates. The rates after the four were changed were still out on all of them. Dealer then changed out other 4 +1 that was way out that they had allready changed. And what do you know......I still had the lopey idle. They told me to drivethe truck.....so i did....and ended up stranded. Turns out the bolts holding the crankshaft relluctor(sp) wheel had fallen off into the pan causing a missfire of the injectors. Problem solved ....................so far.
