I have a 03' with the Banks Six Gun and Speed Loader, I bought the Six Gun because I thought it was more power and safety features. Was I reeled in by the Corporate advertising and waste my money when I could have bought something better for less. Also thinking of stacking some more power in the future if it is possible w/Banks. New to the diesel world and loving it just wish I new more about what to do and not to do. Any opinion would help.

tried it with a predetor programer, and got all kinds of fault codes from the Banks unit,plus shifts were bad to much defuel, consider it a learning experiance(a expensive one )but consider a trans first, because if you get a programer with 100hp you will eventually limp it.

Hm. Did you call BANKS back on the product?
Are you running the latest software revision?

If you want to stack or otherwise increase power over what you have you will need trans upgrades. The banks will give you about as much as your stock trans will hold, without a trans I dont think you would notice much perf gain by switching to anything. If you want more power sell the banks and get a trans and then look at other programing. JMO

My truck is stacked with a Hypertech and Egde. I worrymore about the turbo than worry about the tranny, because with the Edge on 3, I can't hammer down with out my EGT running to 1300 degrees right now! I can'e even do a 0-60 test with the Edge Attitude with out it backing down due to EGT! Oh well, the Hypertech was free and the Egde was super cheap so I'll just keep my eye on things.

Back down is the trans slip. The EGT's will go way high with out kill the turbo. Like 1800 degrees. Just lock out back down on your Attitude. It's Enter 2 times fast up arrow upto 30 minites & enter agin. The power level sould flash to say back down is off. Then set your 0-60 test. See if this work for you.

It sounds like you may have version 1. Version 2 runs much stronger. The re-flash is free. Check out the part number on your module.

Version 2 runs stronger. Get a trans upgrade before you even think about doing any further power upgrades. The Banks unit will destroy the trans (levels 4 and up) without help from anything else. The higher the setting, the quicker the destruction.
