I don't have a block heater on my 6.5L and am planning on installing one long before winter arrives (I live in Colorado). However, where should it be physically located? I want to take a look at the install location before ordering the part to make sure I can handle it on my own. However, I can't find anything that actually tells me where it gets installed.

Thanks for the help with this very basic question in advance.

Should be one there, may be missing the cord, but the heater should be in place from the factory. Located on the side of the block in a freeze plug hole, center I think, Easy to install if fact I like runing 2, one on each side, kinda as a back up.

Yes it should be there, and the cord maybe too just all wrapped up.
