So I bought my truck late in 2009, and have been addicted to this site ever since. It was bone stock when I bought it, and it is my first diesel. For performance I started with a 4in straight exhaust, then LBZ MP and airbox mod. I thought my truck ran very well, and had lots of power, but I knew I still wanted a tuner. So I finally got my Predator today after a bunch of rigmarole over the past few months. I put it on the 65hp setting and went driving to try and get the trans relearned. I definetly noticed the power but drove for about 40km without flooring. Then I finally matted it. All I can say is OMFG!! :D. I can`t believe there are still 2 power settings above this. Its INSANE. I know its not much compared to some of you guys, but wow Im impressed. Some guys seem to complain that the Predator shifts hard, but I didn't notice it, maybe a little but I haven't even gone through much of a relearn. If its not to the floor seems very smooth. Overall drivability is much better too. I also really like being able to blow smoke now :).

The city I live in, the speed limit never really gets above 50kmh, so I dont think I ever got into 5th. How safe is this tune on the highway when Im in between 4th and 5th a lot?

I had mine on 75hp for about 3 days, when i was going down the highway at 55mph, then lay into the throttle, black smoke was starting to roll out the tailpipe. Im pretty sure that it will kill the tranny pretty quick if you drive it hard.

65 should be ok for quite awhile as long as thats all the higher the setting you go. thats pretty much where I started was with a preditor.......then.......after limping it 5 or 6 times I built my trans with a stage 4 went to EFI live and a DSP5 switch and now I have an over 200hp setting. LOL watch out the duramax performance is a addictive drug! I wouldn't bother with a shift kit since you have to tear into the trans to do it right. drive it till you limp it and spend the money and do a stage 4 kit and go with efi live! and a DSP5

I'm not addicted...I can quit anytime I want:rolleyes::laugh_exp

There are many that say that they run the predator 65 with no limps. Problem is when "the addiction" takes over and they say to themselves, "I wanna see what the 120 tune is like...just once."):h
