I just recently purchased an 04 lly 2500 4x4 with 12000 miles on it and two of the rims appear to have the factory plastic coating chiping off and the rims are starting to oxidize. Do yall think that may be covered by the warranty? The trucks never been in the mud or hauled anything and there is no physical damage to the rims , the plastic coating is just chiping off . I have an 03 suburban with the same coating and 30000 miles with no chiping. thanks

I would think it would be covered. I had a couple wheels replaced for this several years ago on a GM car and it was not an issue.

I had the same thing happen, and the STEALER didnt want to replace all 4 , but after some loud persuasion they did replace all 4 , the new ones are not clear coated on my truck, you can clean them with flitz or mothers, just tell them that is why you paid extra for the forged rims
