DmitriM 04-20-2010, 01:09 AM Congrats on the truck purchase! Post some pics when you get a chance. Kinda curious to see a pic of that switch that you are talking about. I've got a set of brand new 22.5s Alcoa polished wheels for sale, let me know if you are interested.

ricko 04-20-2010, 09:09 PM im guessing the switch is your manual dpf regen switch, not sure without a pic tho
boatman24 04-20-2010, 09:11 PM The switch is for your exhuast brake.

Fozzy 04-20-2010, 09:47 PM If the switch has curly cues and dashed lines threw it it is your manual DPF switch. Congrats on have one bad ass truck.
SANDCARDUDE 04-20-2010, 09:53 PM this might work if it does its the switch on the bottom left
SANDCARDUDE 04-20-2010, 09:55 PM more pics
SANDCARDUDE 04-20-2010, 09:56 PM If the switch has curly cues and dashed lines threw it it is your manual DPF switch. Congrats on have one bad ass truck.
what does a manual dpf switch do? thanks in advance
DmitriM 04-20-2010, 10:05 PM Wow, beats me, not a clue of what that might be, but kinda thinking it might have something to do with the newer emissions on the truck.
SHOCKER 04-20-2010, 10:06 PM This activates the DPF on the 07+ d-max. Emission. The vehicle will do it automatically but when you are at idle or low RPMs for a period of time the exhaust temp is not high enough for the regen to start, so they have the switch for this. As for the suspension I will try to let you know ASAP.
SANDCARDUDE 04-20-2010, 10:09 PM my truck
DmitriM 04-20-2010, 10:18 PM Good looking truck! Those 19.5s should be worth around 1,000-1,500.
Fozzy 04-20-2010, 10:49 PM what does a manual dpf switch do? thanks in advance
shocker is right. It let's you activate the regen cycle. Look above your drivers side sun visor it should have instructions. We have construction trucks that run all day and my not see the road speeds required for regen. Ours have a light on the switch that turns orange when you need to regen. If it turns red your screwed.

Mr Kodiak 04-21-2010, 04:17 AM what determins what type of steps you get on these trucks
on my truck it came with tube stype steps and all my buds have the square like yours
DmitriM 04-21-2010, 08:00 AM Both of mine have the square plate set up, but I think the tubular ones like yours look way better, wish I could trade them out.
SANDCARDUDE 04-21-2010, 11:38 AM where is a good place to find after market parts for inside and outside of the truck...
TriSum 04-21-2010, 11:12 PM Nice looking truck !! PM me on your wheels and tires. I'm going to need tires here in the next month or so.

Jager 04-25-2010, 09:49 PM shocker is right. It let's you activate the regen cycle. Look above your drivers side sun visor it should have instructions. I hope you read what Fozzy told you about the regen switch. I have an 08 and it has it too. Byron at Laredo took the time to explain a little about this. It is important you at least read the back side of your drivers side sun visor. If you see your regen light on your dash turn orange you have to initiate a manual regen.
haulztoyz 04-26-2010, 08:56 PM My truck regens about every 300 miles when pulling trailer. It will stop the regen if i get into stop n go traffic. Never had any problems or red or orange lites. Always the green regen lite on instrument cluster.
SANDCARDUDE 04-27-2010, 12:41 AM i notice my regen light on just driving around town not towing...is this normal? do i need to push the button?
Fozzy 04-30-2010, 06:34 PM If you hit freeway speeds it will regen on it's own. If you can not take the time to hit the road and open her up, hit the regen. Yes it is normal.
SANDCARDUDE 05-01-2010, 02:35 AM finally looked up and read the label above the visor i understand it now...thanks
