Got this fed to me today from a dealer:

Chevrolet’s production “in house Dealer” data shows only production on “gas” models! They start May 25 with Crew Cabs and Regular Cabs. July 6 begins production of Extended Cabs! “Diesel” production is still unavailable! This is “Dealer” data from Chevrolet!

So is this dealer misinformed? I thought I read somewhere that the Duramax plant was close to start-up on the new engine. Does anyone have some proven evidence that this dealer is wrong? If he's correct, there won't be any of the new diesels on the lots before August !!!

could be correct from what ive heard also.

Ford might get a good jump on the market here. All I have seen every other commercial for the last week is them touting the new SD.

......and they go on and on about how its specs are all better than the competition including fuel economy. Then at the bottom in fine print it says..."when compared to all other 2010 models.

yeah your dates are correct. The engine plant should start up soon but it will take some time to get it over to the production like I would think. Look for these to hit the lots in late june early july

My buddies Dually is due in mid July...so they say!

GM is usually behind FORD when comes to getting stuff on the market fast but hast makes waste...as FORD has been finding out lately.
