Not sure if anyone here will know this: I have a friend with an '05 Dodge CTD and I told him (after reading it here) that our trucks share the same manufacturer's rear diff. I told him about my fluid being low (his wasn't when he checked), and how I was reading about changing the diff fluid early for Eaton equipped diffs. We just don't know if this would apply to him, since we're not sure if his is an Eaton locker (and yes it was on his options list: "locking rear differential").

It would make sense that it would be the same, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance...

NO, dodge does not use eaton limited slip. The dodge unit is a gear unit, there are no clutches so no additives are required. Maintenance suggested by dodge is every 15k.

Dodge used to use the Detroit Locker, not sure if they still do or not
