I have a 12000 trailer (Fully loaded that I have pulled very well with my 01' Duramax with 80K miles on it and happened to stop by at a gmc dealer (I am sorry but my personal tastes dictate that avalanche noses on the Chevs are BUTT Ugly) and I found that the sale was legit... Being a skeptic set me back though and I really could not find a bench seat crew cab with leather in dark or light silver in a 3500 (Actually believe it or not I have not seen a swr 3500 at all yet, and Ive been lookin...) So as the sale is over on Tuesday I finally broke down and bought a 2500HD again. I am wondering what is the total rear difference? Bigger brakes? Larger rear diff? An extra spring? I but bridgestone bags on my 01' 2500 and they really did the trick but is there a better solution? I have lots of room everywhere except my pin weight is over by about 400lbs.

P.S. I am trying to decide between the Edge and the Banks chips, Edge is about an hour away from my house. More than the increased performance not screwing up my truck is the most important thing... Also what should I look at as far as Exhausts go and what is a normal spending expectation..... And as long as I am setting this up for going off subject what about Line-X versus Rhino? Anyone have experience with clear Bra? (I aint talking about victorias secret here)

Tires/Rims/rear leaves are the difference. Put airbags on or a helper spring, and you have the same thing as a 3500SRW.

As far as Edge or Banks, you should be happy with either one.

We bought our 3500 SRW when the sale was only a week old. I did a search from the GM site and a dealer in northern Oregon did a search for me of Oregon and Washington (we pretty much covered Nevada, CA, and the other two states). We found a total of 2! We wanted a long bed extended cab, and back then the crews were extremely available, but they just don't make that many excabs.
I went with a Speedliner spray in bedliner over Rhino or Line-X. Speedliner comes with Kevlar in it and is more colorfast than the other two, is what my research showed. It's also applied thinner because of the Kevlar and therefore is lighter in the end (according to the shop that did mine). Lastly, it can be colored as well (not that it mattered as we went w/ black). I'm very happy with it and still don't understand how the black doesn't get hot in the sun (not too hot to touch or for the dogs paws, anyway)
On the clear bra: We were going to get one of these, but they are pricey. The detail shop that also did the liner had a clear 3M shield that they use for lower body panel protection, etc. I had them look at the flat nose surfaces of the Chevy and they made up their own mask out of the 3M stuff -- saved a couple of hundred bucks going this route and it looks great!
Good luck with your new rig...

Just a note on the liners, I've done a lot of research (as that's what I do before I purchase anything)and it points to the line-x spray in liner has the better of them. However, I don't think you can really go to wrong with any of them as they all have good points and bad points. Just my .02
