Now she smokes REAL bad. I'm not talking about hazy black smoke I mean real thick black soot. Will all this fuel hurt anything? Should I regulate the pressure down to 12 or something? My track times still seem to be consistent. Thanks.

You are talking during acceleration, or idling?

No smoke at idle just during real hard acceleration. I now have cars swerving out of the way of the smoke and flashing their high beams at me.

NO, just buy a N20 kit, joila no more smoke. ;)

I'm no expert but I don't think 12 or 14 will have any difference in smoke. You are just trying to keep the CP3 full of fuel. I would think that the CP3 would regulate it from there, so long as it has enough fuel for the amount requested by the computer.

Sounds like you are fueling almost enough now. When you have fire engines following you wherever you go, you finally have enough fuel.

Ok I guess I was concerned for nothing. I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't hurting anything. Thanks for the replys guys.

Sounds like a bigger turbo or another one added is in your near future.......

After several 1/4mi passes, when you park it, then restart in the morning, it will dump a BUNCH of carbon dust out the pipe. Park accordingly.

One thing to be very careful with is the stock fuel filter assemble. Racor engineering has told me that 15 psi is max pressure and when testing the EDU 15 psi made the cases stretch out. I would lower it down to the 10 psi range for safety. Also check the prerssure at WOT not just idle as you may find 14 psi at idle and something less at WOT.

Thanks for the heads up on the pressure and fuel filter. I'll bring it in on monday and lower her. Thanks

duramaxdiesel: Any updated 1/8 or 1/4 with the pump? I really want to know the actual benefit from a performance standpoint.

Seems like a excessive amount of pressure for what gain?Looking at the performance modifications in your sig I can't see the need. For example many have maxed it out ,including MTomac with alot less.

I have heard of a few "loping" the idle because of to much PSI.Be interesting to find out what if anything happens.

I'm running a Holley Black pump. Last night I made an 8 second flat run in the 1/8. The best I've ever done. The real test will be in the 1/4 next Friday in Napierville. I'll let you know Maxter.

Yeah! what was your previous best? Are you still running 14 psi?

Personally, I think it is great, wish I could do it.
What are your 60 fts and Speed in the 1/8th mile ?

Have you run the 1/4 mile with the setup ? I would think you will be even faster now than the 13.34 you show in your signature.

Gonna head to the 1/4 mile track tonight. I'm really looking forward to getting into the high 12's this time.

My best before my 8 sec. flat run was an 8.12 and my 60' were all within 1.81 and 1.89
