Hoping for some advice/direction here.

I got a set of running boards from a 2008 Silverado (1/2 ton). It's a crew cab/short bed truck. They came without mounting brackets. They are whatever running boards the factory/dealer installed on the truck originally. They were replaced due to a fender bender, but nothing was wrong with the, at all (a tiny scratch in the finish).

My truck is a 2007 2500 (Classic body style).

Will brackets for my truck make this work? Are the mounting points the same? And where is a good place to source brackets/hardware like that?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Classic body style trucks used the body mount bolts to attach step bars. The GMT-900 body style factory step bars are interchangeable on Crew Cab 1500 and 2500 trucks but not back to GMT-800 (classic) body style trucks.

My 08 GMC has (8) 13mm bolts per side. (4) mount to the back side of the kick panel, (4) mount to the lip of the kick panel.

Again, this is for factory style bars, different aftermarket manufacturers may use other approaches.

Good info, thanks.

Looks like I'll end up buying the proper ones and selling these later.
