2002,The truck was smoking real bad and knocking real loud then it quit. So the dealer replaced the injectors and the injector pump. I have 123000 miles on the truck, 200 miles since the repairs. The truck is running fine no missing or any thing like that but it does seem to have a vibration to the engine. Now it doesnt have any power in 1st gear When I step on the pedal it picks up speed but its very slow. Feels like im giving it 1/4 throttle when actually it is all the way to the floor. It almost seems like it will go faster if I give it the pedal a little at a time. When I get to about 2500rpms to 3000rpms then It wants to go. It is not running like it did before the injector problems. engine sounds louder at idle and I hear a metalic pop or ting about every 3minutes. That noise is so loud that my friend hear it while sitting in his truck. The ting keeps on sounding off after the engine is turned off. Almost like it is heat related noise. I really cant hear the turbo either. No ses or high temp. Every thing seems fine. but no power Some thing is not right. Any ideas?

Maybe they left a ragged stuffed in an intake tube somewhere?

Just a thought................

What does your boost gauge and pyro read?
That would give us some clues

I have sort of the same problem that just occured the other day in my 2001 lb7 with 100,000 miles on it. I have done nothing to my engine though. I would describle my problem to be a sluggish low rpm fuel control reaction under acceleration. It comes alive around 2,000-2,500rpm and has all the boost egt and power it used to. If you were to drive it normally (grandpa style) you would never know the problem was there. But if you tromp on the throttle, it takes it a long time to react until it reaches 2,000-2,500rpm. I have the predator programmer and no codes have popped up. If I return it to the stock program, the problem only gets worse. I have checked my battery connections and replaced my fuel filter with no changes in performance. I used to be able to tromp on it from a stop, smoke the tires and blow black smoke from the start, but now it dosen't do much until the rpms get up above 2,000. The only other thing is that It used to have a surging idle, but now it dosen't. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

that sounds like my problem too. I am also hearing a metalic ting coming from the motor. My oil pressure is down from before the injectors were changed. I run about 20psi at idle and 55psi at about 2000rpm. before the injectors were changed it was about 10psi higher on the low and high end. I think the diesel in my oil messed up my bearings. Im also thinking that my turbo bearings could be the cause of the no power at low rpm when I floor it. my truck seems to have a vibration that comes and goes and comes and goes ( kind of has a rythem to it)at idle too.

Well guys, I figured out my problem. It took a lot of head scratching but I got it. I talked to a diesel shop and the dealer, but they had not idea what it could be. I narrowed it down to some sort of sensor not reading correctly to give the computer a false reading at low rpm which would not give the engine the amount of fuel it needed. I had a pretty good bet that it had to be the Mass Air Flow Sensor not reading the air flow at low rpm correctly, so I took the lid of my air box and took a look down the intake tube at the MAF sensor to find a bug stuck to the sensor. I picked it off, cleaned the sensor with some spray cleaner and took the truck down the road. The truck ran perfect. Its amazing what a little sensor and a bug can do to the performance of a truck. Hope this is you guys problem also.

How did the bug get there? The MAF sensor is on the "clean" side of the filter.

I had the K&N air filter out for cleaning and noticed that I had forgot to re-install it when I found the bug

I think I might have a similar problem but not sure because this is my first diesel truck and is all stock with 70000 on her and all 8 injectors replaced at 60000. When I stomp on it from a dead stop it doesn't even think about breaking the tires loose. I have 245-65's and average about 17 to 18 mpgs. It seems like a lot of turbo lag or something, once around 2000 RPM it'll set you in the seat. Just curious if it should have more power right of the bat granted it's all stock. Time for an Edge? Thanks
