I have a problem. I have searched the DIC so I can modify my settings for the outside mirrors. You know the option that tilts the mirror to curb level when the truck is put in reverse. Well, I seems that the ability to change the setting isn't there in the DIC. I do have the camper option if that makes a difference. But, my dealer sticker says I have them installed. What gives? Anyone got advice? Should I take it to the dealer to fix the problem? :o:

Camper mirrors are not able to have to tilt while in reverse if that is what you are looking for. Only the power folding mirrors do that. I think the camper mirrors have too many other functions to worry about the curb view capabilities.

My reverse/park setting sucks ass on my truck, it tilts down to far and I cannot see my rear tires, is there a way to preset the reverse mode so I can see the rear tire?????

To program the mirrors just start the truck, put in reverse, adjust the mirrors as far down as you like then push your #1 memory setting and your done. They will tilt down to this position when in reverse.

I ordered my 05 with the camper power extending mirrors. I checked my build sheet and did not find anything about the tilting on them. So, I would guess two things... One is that the GMC has them as standard features and that is why it is on the build sheet. The additional options over ride the standard features. If that is not it, then it might have been ordered from the factory with the tilting mirrors then upgraded to the power extending mirrors at the dealers. Anything other than the above would be a typo or a factory mistake.
After looking up the RPO code for each if the mirrors, I have found that the SLT comes standard (if you have an SLT) with the tilting mirrors (DL3), since the extending mirrors were ordered, that trumped the tilting mirrors (DPF).
If you look in your glove box, you should find the proper RPO code to match your mirrors. I hope this sheds some light on your topic.
