I am looking at exhaust systems and see that most if not all manufacturers list for crewcab or extended cab long and short box, but not std cab models. Will I need to buy a extended cab long box system and modify it?

That's what I had to do with the 5" system from RPM Outlet.

i got my 4" from summit. none of the hangers were right, clearance from the shock and spare were close, so i droped the spare and bent and rewelded the hangers. i am on a year and a half now. same kit fits great on an extend cab though

I got a kit for ext/crew and just had to trim the mif pimpe, everything else bolted up fine. Shoot a line to one of the vendors here that sells exhaust, I'm sure they could answer your Q about a particular system.

The flange pipe (4 bolt flange to muffler) should be the only piece that is different between the reg cab,ext cab, and crew cab....
Hard to believe the big mfrs. don't make a system for the reg cab/long box trucks...

most of the time you just trim the pipe right before it goes into the muff. Not may of us reg cab guys to cater too.....seems everyone needs them looooooong trucks to make up for something else.

SMS,

Our system works fine on the std cab trucks, just cut the last intermediate pipe a bit and your done.
