got in my truck this morning and glow plug light stayed on, wouldnt come off...waited about 15 secs and started up...glow plug light went off...engine light stayed on...not sure what the deal is?...just got the truck a few weeks ago...its still under factory warranty...does the dealership still charge for a diagnostic when its under warranty?...or should i just bring it by auto zone or advance auto parts and see what their scanner comes up with?...thanks!

Glow plug cylinder #2. Gonna replace it under warranty tomorrow morning. Is it normal for glow plugs to go out at this mileage?
also...would the engine be running, feeling, or sounding any different?...because i have noticed absolutely no difference...

You wouldnt notice a difference since the plug only comes on when you start it. Since yours is an 06, probably early in the production cycle its actually a common problem.

You never said what the mileage was, not that it really makes much difference. Glow plugs tend to be sporadic as far as life cycles go. Main thing is to make sure the old one isn't missing the tip. Early 06 models had a problem loosing the tips when they failed and faling into the cylinder causing damage. Make sure they reflash your glow control module to the latest version to prevent future problems.
