Hey guys I was wondering if you could help? I have the race evolution on my 09 GMC Duramax. I was in stage 2 and hammered down from 0 to about 75. My truck said reducing engine power I had to pull over and turn off and back on, then it was fine. I have a old update on my evolution because the new ones, the turbo vanes would stick or turbo would surge. The old update I have on it is great but I dont want to have to worry about this happening. I do have the dpf off. Anybody have this problem? I will call edge tomarrow to see if they have a new better update.

Thanks
-Wes

Do you have a blocker plate in?

Mine did the exact same thing, I was actually driving slower than normal when it happened, I just shut it off and started it back up and it was fine.....I keep thinking it makes a whining noise now, but it's probly just me being paranoid??

Crash N Burn- I do not have a blocker plate in. Could that cause it?
Thanks

I talked to edge and they said it could be transmission or engine to cause it to go into limp mode. If it was the engine the said it was because it was not getting enough fuel and that sent it into limp. I was only in the 2 stage, I didn't think that would cause limp mode. Said I might need to put a lift pump on it. If anybody has heard of this let me know.

The only time I had mine do that was when I was towing 8k up a long steep grade, got 1/4 mile from the top and it went into engine limp mode.

There was a thread Summer last year where guys were having that problem, but it was mostly related to heavy hauling. Supposedly Edge produced a fix and I haven't heard of anyone having any issues since. Though it is coming up on the camping/towing season so I guess we'll see.

I've never heard of anyone having that issue unloaded however and I've had mine in level 5 and raced it 5 times in the 1/4 mile.

When mine did do it, all my temps were within spec. I suppose it could've been fuel, not sure though.

I guess I will just see what happens or if it happens again. I wish there was a for sure answer to this. Oh well....
